Stop Guessing With Your Money

You know the feeling when payday arrives and somehow, two weeks later, you're wondering where it all went? We built this program because that used to be us too. Budget education shouldn't feel like homework—it should feel like finally getting control.

Questions People Actually Ask Us

These come up in nearly every conversation. If you've been wondering about any of this stuff, you're definitely not alone.

1

Before Starting

Most people arrive here feeling a bit overwhelmed. Maybe you tried budgeting apps that didn't stick, or you're just tired of the stress.

  • Will this actually work for irregular income?
  • How much time does it really take each week?
  • What if I've never been good with numbers?
  • Can I do this if my partner isn't interested?
2

During The Program

This is where things click. You'll have questions as you apply concepts to your actual life, not textbook examples.

  • How do I handle unexpected expenses properly?
  • What's the right balance between saving and living?
  • Should I focus on debt or building savings first?
  • How do I budget for things I only pay yearly?
3

After Completion

The program ends, but your financial journey continues. These questions help you stay on track long-term.

  • How do I adjust my budget when life changes?
  • What's the next step after basic budgeting?
  • How do I keep the motivation going?
  • When should I review and update my plan?

The Stuff That Usually Goes Wrong

We've seen these patterns repeatedly. The good news? They're all fixable once you know what to look for.

£ The Invisible Money Problem

Cash withdrawals, contactless payments, subscription services you forgot about—money disappears and you can't figure out where. It's not that you're spending recklessly; you just can't see the full picture.

  • Track everything for two weeks without judgment
  • Group spending by category to spot patterns
  • Set up simple alerts for account movements
  • Review subscriptions quarterly, not yearly

! The Emergency Fund That Never Happens

You know you need one. Every finance article says so. But between rent, bills, and actually having a life, there's never anything left to save. The cycle continues because small emergencies become big problems.

  • Start with just €10 weekly—seriously, that's fine
  • Automate transfers right after payday
  • Keep it separate but accessible
  • Celebrate small milestones to build momentum

~ The Irregular Income Struggle

Freelancers, commission workers, seasonal employees—traditional budgeting advice doesn't fit when your income changes monthly. You need a different approach that accounts for variability.

  • Calculate your minimum monthly baseline
  • Build a buffer month for lean times
  • Prioritize expenses by necessity, not dates
  • Use percentage-based saving in good months

The Partner Who Won't Engage

One person tracks everything while the other just spends. Or worse, you're both avoiding the conversation entirely because money talks feel awkward or turn into arguments.

  • Start with shared goals, not spreadsheets
  • Make it a monthly check-in, not daily nagging
  • Split responsibilities based on strengths
  • Focus on progress, not perfection

How The Program Actually Works

We run cohorts starting September 2025 and February 2026. It's structured but flexible—you learn concepts each week and apply them to your actual finances, not hypothetical scenarios.

  • Weeks 1-3: Understanding where your money currently goes and building your personal tracking system
  • Weeks 4-6: Creating a realistic budget that matches your life and values, not someone else's template
  • Weeks 7-9: Building emergency savings gradually while managing current obligations
  • Weeks 10-12: Planning for irregular expenses and developing your long-term financial strategy

Sessions happen Tuesday evenings online, with recordings available if you miss one. You'll also get access to our member community where people share what's working and troubleshoot together.

Why We Built This Differently

I'm Cillian Farrelly, and I spent years working in financial services watching people struggle with advice that technically made sense but didn't fit real life. The turning point came when I realized my own budget was theoretical nonsense that I wasn't actually following.

"Budget education should adapt to your life, not the other way around. We focus on building systems that actually stick because they're designed around how people really live and spend."

Our approach combines practical psychology with financial fundamentals. We don't just teach you what to do—we help you understand why you haven't done it yet and how to change that. Starting autumn 2025, we're opening our next cohort for people across Ireland who want something that actually works.
